Introducing Drift For Slack

Talking to your customers is the single most important thing you can do to help your business grow faster.

It’s something that we talk about all the time here at Drift, and we’re always thinking about how we can make it easier for you to not only talk to your customers, but to talk to prospects too — the people who haven’t bought from you yet but are live on your website poking around.

If your team is like ours (and over 2 million other people), you probably spend the majority of your day on Slack, and starting today, you don’t even have to leave Slack to talk to your customers and prospects.

Respond From Anywhere In Real-Time

Whenever someone writes in via Drift, you’ll get an alert in Slack. So now, whether a customer needs some help inside of your app, or someone has a question on your website’s pricing page, you’ll be able to give them the answer they need instantly.

At Drift for example, we’ve set up a channel in Slack called Support, so we can get real-time alerts and respond whenever someone writes in:

Anyonymous Users Vs. People You Know

When someone writes in via Drift, they are either an anonymous user (someone visiting your website) or someone you already know (a website visitor who’s given you their email address via Drift or a customer inside of your app).

Every time you get a new message, we give you as much information as we can about the person writing in. For anonymous visitors, you’ll be able to see the page they’re on, their location, IP address and local time:

And for people who’ve already identified or given you their email address (this is where it gets awesome) you’ll get enriched data for that contact, including their name, location, job and company information, links to their social profiles and more, like this:

Just The Beginning

Our integration with Slack is just the beginning of our journey to help you know, grow, and amaze your customers.

And speaking of customer feedback — we want to hear yours!

So give Drift a try (it’s 100% free to get live chat up on your site) and let us know what you think.

PS. If you want to see more about how this work, here’s a video from my good friend Matt, our Product Manager. If he can’t get you fired up to use Drift and Slack, I don’t know what else to tell you 🙂

P.S. Can we send you an email?

Once a week or so we send an email with our best content. We never bug you; we just send you our latest piece of content.
